The Mend PDX is an acupuncture and holistic medicine clinic where people come to feel their best. It is a healing space for patients and practitioners to feel seen, heard and taken care of.
We believe that treating patients holistically and deeply listening to what they need is essential in patient care.
The Mend is expanding and looking to bring someone on to share our abundance of patients with. As we take over the building next door, more than doubling our space we need 2 more providers to join our practice.
This could be a great opportunity for someone with experience OR someone who is a recent grad that is looking for a mentorship.
This person has the potential to get busy very quickly and will get the benefit of joining a practice that is already established.
It also means that we will be sending you patients with whom we've built a long standing relationship with, so it will be important that our treatment styles are complimentary.

You practice trauma informed, patient centered care and know how to deeply listen and hold space for patients.
You have a desire to learn and be trained in various techniques and modalities that genuinely help patients. As well as creating effective treatment plans that assure positive results and patient retention and be able to confidently convey them to patients.
You are comfortable and confident in prescribing herbs and supplements or interested in learning how.
You see the value in continuing education and find joy and excitement in progressing your skill set.
You have experience treating sports medicine, pain, reproductive health and fertility, mental health and digestive disorders OR a strong desire to learn how.
About the space:
Bright and sun-filled space within walking distance to the Pearl, Slabtown and Northwest shopping districts.
Large reception area with 6 spacious treatment rooms and break room, each with large windows and many plants. Each provider will have access to 3 treatment rooms per shift so they can comfortably see 2 patients per hour.
Fully furnished, stocked and professionally cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.
2 reserved parking spots for patients and a parking permit for practitioners will be provided.
About the position:
Full time employee position starting in January 2024.
Per patient rate paid bi-weekly. Rate depends on experience.
Herbal commission: 50% of cost.
$40-$50 per patient. You will be paid upfront for your treatments and will not need to wait for insurance payments
Hours/days available: 8-1 or 12-6 Mon-Sun available.
3-5 days/week with at least one weekend shift and evening weekday availability required. (This could be 4-5 shorter shifts or 3 long days).
Linens and supplies are provided, as well as an insurance billing service.
Must be:
Credentialed with most insurance panels (I only accept Providence, Pacific Source, Regence/Blue Cross, UHC)
Experience: 1 year minimum preferred
Licensed in Oregon and with NCCAOM.
Current malpractice insurance.
Fully vaccinated and upholds safe covid practices. We have some immunocompromised patients that do ask we mask for their appts.
Has their own laptop.
Some front desk duties required (scheduling, taking payments). We will train you in how we manage this very easily.
